Eligibility for cancellation and refund
You can cancel an order before it is shipped from our warehouse or before a makerspace booking starts. Refund eligibility for digital deliverables depends on the fulfillment status communicated on your dashboard.
MakrX follows Razorpay’s settlement timelines for refund processing. Once we approve a refund, Razorpay initiates the reversal to your original payment method.
- Prepaid orders: full refund to the original source (card, UPI, net banking).
- Wallet/BNPL transactions: reversals are routed back to the respective provider per Razorpay guidelines.
- Cash on delivery (if enabled) is refunded via bank transfer after KYC verification.
Refund timelines and communication
Once MakrX approves the refund, Razorpay typically takes 5-7 business days for card/UPI reversals and 7-10 business days for net-banking. International card refunds may take up to 14 business days depending on issuing bank policies.
You will receive an email confirmation containing the Razorpay refund reference ID (format: rfnd_XXXX). Keep this handy when following up with your bank or wallet provider.
- In-flight cancellations (before settlement) result in payment voids, appearing as reversed authorisations on your statement.
- Partial refunds are supported for multi-line orders; taxes and shipping adjustments are reflected on the revised invoice.
- If you do not receive funds after 10 business days, contact MakrX support. We will generate an ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) through Razorpay.
Escalations and dispute resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter to payments@makrx.org within 15 days of receiving our response. Provide the order number, Razorpay payment ID, and supporting evidence.
MakrX will review escalations with Razorpay’s grievance team. We aim to resolve disputes within 15 business days while adhering to RBI OMBUDSMAN guidelines.
- Chargebacks raised with issuing banks will temporarily disable your associated subscription until the dispute is resolved.
- Repeated high-risk disputes may lead to account suspension in line with our Terms of Service.
